Shipeasy.com is the website of Mountain Trail Industries, Inc., a freight brokerage.  We have been in business since 1991 and between the three principals of the firm, have about 75 years of experience in transportation. 

Jeff Smit The president and founder of the company, Jeff has been involved in the trucking and shipping industry for over 25 years, having gotten his start as a teen in Northwest Iowa at his father's company. His involvement ranges from the livestock and grain industry to moving oversized and heavy equipment. Jeff is always available to share his knowledge and help our customers achieve their goals. Jay Pollema Our Vice-president in charge of Dispatch, Jay brings over 25 years experience to our company.  He is the best problem-solver we have.  With a calm head, he hears all sides of the story and works out the best solution.  Our customers love working with Jay! Ellen Stewart Our General Manager, she’s responsible for our website.  Wherever she is, Ellen looks for ideas that will make the site easier to use for our customers.  Somewhat of a perfectionist, she’ll never be satisfied with the content and will always be trying to give you more information. Janice Jackson Janice has been with the company for over 10 years. She has been instrumental in the training of new dispatchers. Her knowledge of traffic lanes, as well as her upbeat personality, helps all of us keep the freight moving. OUR PARTNERS   Overnite Transportation To handle our van freight, we wanted to make sure that we found a company that had an excellent delivery record with few claims.  We contacted some of our larger customers and asked whom they have used and what their experience was.  One of the names that kept coming up was Overnite Transportation.  We worked out an agreement with them and can also pass along our discount to you.
